Après 3 mois de vacances bien remplies, les étudiants de l’institut supérieur des mines et géologie de Tamakènen dans la préfecture de Boké, ont bel et bien repris les cours pédagogiques au compte de l’année scolaire 2021-2022.

Créé en 1972 avec
l’implantation de la Société des Bauxites de Guinée (CBG) en Guinée, sous la coupe de l’université Abdel Nasser de Conakry.
C’est ainsi que les autorités ont décidé de transférer cette institution à Boké avec deux filliaires (géologie et mines) seulement.
En 1991, le même institut fut transformé en Institut ayant des prérogatives à l’image de Gamal Abdel Nasser de Conakry et l’institut de Faranah en Haute Guinée.
Aujourd’hui, l’ISMGB est géré par Dr Daouda Kéita jusque là, directeur général adjoint chargé des Etudes et directeur par intérim explique la nouvelle méthode:

Aujourd’hui, l’institut Supérieur des Mines et de la Géologie de Boké, selon son premier responsable, compte en son sein, 4 départementsà savoir, département des services géologiques, departement des services minier, département des traitements et métallurgique et Département environnement et sécurité individuelle.
Des départements qui évoluent au sein des sociétés minières en Guinée et dans le Monde.
